Black Lives Matter
The year 2020 will go down in the history books as one of the most tragic years in American history for sure. As the pandemic rages on, it’s taking its toll on everyone. EVERYONE. In the midst of an unprecedented situation, people are standing up for the injustice done to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and countless other black people whose stories may go unheard and untold.
It is a tragedy to see yet another black person victimized through police brutality. It is outrageous but far too common! As a people, I’m proud that we are crying out and calling out the injustice. We are bringing awareness, in our own way, to a huge problem that has plagued this country for years.
Honestly, everywhere we look right now, the world is falling apart. It happens but the thing to bear in mind is the idea that sometimes things fall apart to come back together more solid and well grounded. I encourage you to not stick your head in the sand. Speak up about the things you are feeling and are passionate about. USE YOUR VOICE. Open yourself up, be present and listen. In this time, we need to band together more than ever before and support each other.
Choose courage. -Ariel
