Policies, Shipping & Returns Customer Service Hours Our Customer Service team is available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST. Please note: Orders are not processed on weekends or holidays. Customer service emails are responded to during business hours only. Messages received outside of business hours will be addressed on the next business day. Once processed, orders will ship within 3 business days and include tracking information. Once an order has shipped, it is in the hands of USPS. Delivery times may vary due to location, weather, holidays, or postal delays beyond our control. Tracking Your Order Tracking information is provided once your order ships. Please note that the tracking information available to you is the same information we can see. We do not receive additional shipping notifications or delivery updates from USPS beyond what is shown in the tracking link. Customers are responsible for monitoring their tracking information. Delivery Issues & Missing Packages If your order has not been received within 15 business days from the shipping date, please contact us. At that time, we may need to reach out to USPS to investigate the shipment. Copper and Brass Paper Goods is not responsible for shipping delays caused by USPS. Shipping Address Policy Please carefully review your shipping address before completing your purchase. Once an order is placed, we are unable to change or update the shipping address for any reason. Orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address due to customer error are not eligible for refunds. Returned Packages & Reshipping If a package is returned to us due to: Incorrect or incomplete address Refused delivery Failure to retrieve the package from USPS Shipping costs are non-refundable. Customers will be responsible for paying a new shipping fee for the order to be reshipped. Lost, Stolen, or Delivered Packages Copper and Brass Paper Goods is not responsible for lost or stolen packages marked as “Delivered” by USPS. About Us So Much More Than Stationery Copper and Brass Paper Goods started as an idea in 2017 to create something fun but also to introduce a cherished family tradition. This story goes back to its creator, Ariel Young, and her mother, who always gave care, detail, and love when creating beautiful packages. These virtues were passed along like a torch, as Ariel naturally shares her mother’s enthusiasm for the pretty little details that can light up a day. Through this passion, she also noticed that paper goods and stationery lacked diversity. The products being offered were limited: there were not many products featuring Black people. Ariel believed representation was needed and felt compelled to contribute to a broader, more inclusive market where Black people could feel seen and celebrated. So, she did what came naturally – she combined her purpose with her passion. Copper and Brass Paper Goods officially launched in October 2018. In its beginnings, the brand offered wrapping paper, gift bags, and tags. However, as Ariel’s vision expanded, so did the line of products. Now, the product line includes greeting cards, notebooks, accessories, and other small paper goods. Since its debut, Copper and Brass Paper Goods has garnered attention from its many supporters and larger audiences. The brand has been featured on platforms like Etsy, Essence, and Black Southern Belle, and its products have been showcased on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Showtime’s The Chi, CNN’s Start Small, Think Big and in publications such as Reader’s Digest, Cosmopolitan, Oprah.com, and Martha Stewart Magazine. The brand has also participated in several accelerator programs, including Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women and The Village Market Accelerator. Ariel has proudly showcased Copper and Brass Paper Goods products through the Buy From A Black Woman Inspire Tour Presented By H&M, with stops in iconic locations such as Times Square, NYC; Washington, DC; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; and Los Angeles, CA. Additionally, Copper and Brass Paper Goods has secured placements in several big-box stores, including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Winners, Home Goods, and Macy’s. Explore Ariel Young's inspiring journey with Copper & Brass, a brand specializing in unique paper goods, twice embodying copper & brass. About Ariel Chief Paper Pusher Ariel (pronounced R-E-EL) Young was born before the famous mermaid of the same name, but she had dreams just as big growing up. As the founder and President of Copper and Brass Paper Goods, Ariel cultivated a love for all things paper, details and pretty little things as a child. While some teens work their first jobs as a babysitter or in fast food, Ariel wrapped gifts in a department store. At home, her mother’s homemade gift baskets and beautifully wrapped packages for family and friends provided much of the inspiration Ariel relies on today. After graduating from Spelman College, with a degree in Political Science, she became a Psychologist, but never lost her love for gifts professionally presented or office supplies with flair. Ariel started Copper & Brass Paper Goods in 2018 after noticing a lack of diversity in the paper goods industry. She started with wrapping paper and put her company on the map with a Black Santa gift wrap. From there, her business grew to include custom notebooks, pens, pouches and an assortment of office supplies featuring Black imagery. A self-taught entrepreneur, Ariel learned about shipping, design and marketing on her own. Today, her company has the licenses to nearly half of all of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the country. Her cache of products includes custom notebooks, pens, sticky pads, greeting cards and more.
